Traditional views And Beliefs Of The Christian Church
The Bible alone is our rule and guide
We hold that the Bible is the author of our Faith with each individual responsible to God for his or her interpretation of God’s word and practice.
The Supremacy of Jesus Christ
Christ alone is our Lord and Savior. He is head of the church. His Spirit inspires us in Christian Proclamation, Fellowship, and Service to others.
The Unity Of all believes in Christ
Our plea is for church unity, In view of this we strive to maintain a cooperative relationship with churches of other denominations. We do not believe that we are the only Christians, but we seek to be Christians only. Therefore, we invite all who believe in Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior to join with us in seeking to live out our faith in a daily walk with our Redeemer.
The two institutions of the church
Baptism
Baptism is a symbol of the burial of the old self and the birth of the new life that comes to one who accepts Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior and agrees to unite his or her life with Him.
Holy Communion
Observance of the Lord’s Supper is an act of remembrance of the death and resurrection of our Lord Jesus Christ. It is a time when the participant not only examines his or her own life in the light of Christian teachings, but also receives spiritual strength and encouragement to live more fully in the presence and power of our Risen Lord.
