Join the First Root Farm CSA for our second growing season! 22 weeks of delicious, farm fresh veggies, grown using organic and sustainable practices in Concord, MA. Everything from tomatoes and beans to husk cherries and popcorn. Fresh eggs from our pastured hens. Community work days, farm potlucks, gardening workshops. Handmade zine-style newsletter with lots of recipes, storage tips, and games. Pick-Your-Own beans, peas, cherry tomatoes. Kid and family friendly! All ages, genders, & abilities welcome! Cost: $650 for 22 weeks. Pickup at our farm in Concord or in Davis Square, Somerville.

First Root Farm is a small vegetable farm with a big heart. We farm on 1 1/2 acres of historic farmland in Minute Man National Historical Park in Concord, MA. We are part of an exciting new farm incubator project, Battle Road Farms, an educational non-profit committed to supporting and advocating sustainable agriculture in the Greater Boston area. We run a 45-member CSA and accessible pick-your-own and take care of a flock of sweet and hilarious hens. We grow delicious vegetables using organic methods and lots of hand-and-muscle power, host community work days and farm potlucks, and generally enjoy playing in the dirt. Community is at the heart of farming, and we couldn't do what we do without ours! We love volunteers -- all ages, abilities, & genders, kids, families and friends!
