Missions

Our 2005 adult mission trip went to Henderson Settlement in Frakes, Kentucky. Preparation began in March with a dinner fund raiser, and again in April with a rummage sale. These projects helped fund our mission trip. Eight church members and our pastor worked one week helping needy families. Our projects included electrical, framing, drywall, and doing helpful tasks for Henderson Settlement. Our trip included hard work, but was exciting and uplifting, as we gained new insights into mission work. We have scheduled a return trip in May, 2006.

Other projects include:

-Supporting our troops with care boxes.
-Ongoing support for our missionaries Bill and Maria Humbane, in Zimbabowe
-School kits for children in Liberia.
-Hope for India offering.
-Holston United Methodist Children's Home with an offering each fifth Sunday.
-Annual Christmas angle tree ministry.
-Locally supporting the Copper Basin Crisis Center, and other benevolences in the community.
