Mission:

At First United Methodist Church of Oviedo, our desire is to share the Good News of Jesus Christ and to participate in the work of the Holy Spirit reconciling the world to God. We are committed to the mission of the church, by raising up disciples of Jesus Christ in every nation. We consider it joy to be Christ's humble ambassadors, spreading the message of peace and reconciliation. We believe there are three components to proclaiming the Good News of Jesus Christ.

1. To proclaim freedom for the sinner.

2. To proclaim freedom for the poor, prisoner, and oppressed (Luke 4:18-19)

3. To proclaim freedom for the sick.
