About Us:
In 1843 a few bold and creative Christians met in the local tap house on the hill.Their meetings eventually became what is now First Passaic United Methodist Church. Being holy rascals, our church hired the first fully theologically educated women (the wonderful Rev. Anna Oliver) in 1876 and we remember her today with a huge bell monument on the side of our building. Since the early days, First Passaic has been a community living out Faith, Justice, and Compassion in our neighborhood. Today, we strive to be a multi-cultural church centered around Jesus and shaped by our Methodist heritage.
Our Vision:
We are called to make disciples of Jesus Christ for the transformation of the world.
