Frankford Friends School has a main school building housing offices, a lunchroom, and grades prekindergarten through sixth, and the historic meeting house with the pre kindergarten and kindergarten rooms. The 7th and 8th grades are currently located in rented space directly across Orthodox Street from the school. The Little House on the edge of the meeting house property is used for music and Spanish classes, as well as Admissions testing. It also serves as a facility for auxiliary school services from CORA.
Frankford Friends School is committed to the development of the whole child in an atmosphere which allows each child to develop a sense of self-worth. Through a challenging academic program we strive to develop a thorough understanding of basic concepts, clear and logical thinking, and the ability to communicate ideas.
The Friends’ belief in simplicity and peaceful approaches to problem solving is reflected in the classroom and on the playground. We seek to nurture within each child a respect for, and a sensitivity to, others - encouraging cooperation rather than competition.
