About Us:

The Free Soil Farm was founded in 2009 by Corrin Strong on the grounds of the historic Hartford House in the Village of Geneseo, NY. 

As of Spring 2015 we will be farming five acres of fruits and vegetables. We are not certified organic but we do not use any chemical herbicides or pesticides in our production. 

We operate a seasonal farm market that is located on Avon Road (NYS Rt. 39) just north of the Livingston County Courthouse. We also participate in the Geneseo Farmer's Market on Thursday afternoons and the Fairport Farmers Market on Saturday mornings in season.

You can also join our CSA (Community Supported Agriculture) and enjoy substantial savings on your produce. 

We also offer accomodations at The Garden Suite Bed & Breakfast at the Hartford House from May to October. We are also booking outdoor weddings on the beautiful Hartford House grounds starting in June of 2016.

There is also a local tennis club and a stables located on the park-like grounds of the estate.
