The Frenchboro Library and the Frenchboro Historical Society share a building in the village of Frenchboro on Outer Long Island, ME.
The Frenchboro Historical Society is open seasonally and the hours of operation vary. The museum houses artifacts and documents from Frenchboro's past. During the summer there is a small craft shop in the Historical Society that sells local artisans' work.
The mission of the Frenchboro Library is to assemble, maintain, and make accessible materials in various formats to serve the personal, educational, cultural, and professional needs of the community. The Frenchboro Public Library strives to provide Islanders and visitors the opportunity to expand knowledge and enjoy recreation through reading, socializing, and library programs. The Library is open to the public 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year, however library staffing is limited.
