About Us
Gainesville Bible Church is a grace-oriented, conservative church located at 601 N. Radio Hill Rd. (FM 3092) next door to radio station KGAF. GBC was started in 1992, when a local group of believers attending Denton Bible Church desired to form a Bible church in Gainesville. With the blesisng and resopurces of Denton Bible, Gainesville Bible Church was formed the winter of 1992 in the Gainesville Civic Center. After bouncing around from an old Dairy Queen to a tire display shop, GBC built a brand new facility in 2001 on the eastern side of town.
There is a strong emphasis on Bible teaching and fellowship at GBC. The church has a variety of Sunday school, small group, and fellowship ministries, and strives to teach people of all spiritual ages, whether a new believer or a longtime Christian. Our goal is to help them grow into spiritual maturity.
Gainesville Bible also stresses having God-centered worship that mixes Scripture with both traditional and contemporary music styles. GBC desires to have every person in our congregation praise God every Sunday. For some people, that involves contemporary choruses; for others, traditional hymns. It is important that everyone gives glory to God through praise.
GBC also has an active Sunday morning children's ministry, which desires to give children a foundation for godly living. The ministry seeks to get parents involved in the spiritual upbringing of their children.
Outreach is another area of emphasis at Gainesville Bible. GBC currently supports missionaries around the world and its members seek to minister to people in Gainesville and surrounding communities.
Whether you have a lot of knowledge about God or little knowledge about God, whether curious about Jesus or desiring to grow in faith, GBC would love to help you. Feel free to contact us any time.
