About Us:

Since 1975, Galaxy Counseling Center has provided compassionate assistance to more than 45,000 individuals and families in need, and in 2007 served 1738 unduplicated clients. The agency’s mission is to promote emotional health and family well being through counseling, education, and outreach to improve the lives of community members in need.  In 2005, the agency was recognized by the United Way of Dallas for its outstanding commitment to the community.

Agency services include counseling for abuse and neglect, sexual abuse treatment, family dysfunction, behavioral issues, various forms of mental illness, truancy intervention, and anger management. Counseling sessions are highly personalized to the needs of individual clients and treatment may utilize play therapy for children as young as three, individual counseling, family counseling, or group therapy sessions.
