The City of Galion has five (5) active parks consisting of approximately 61.53+/- acres providing a wide variety of recreational and picnicking activities. The Park and Recreation Division initiated a children's program in 1990 which provides a range of education and recreational activities which has served 22,357 children since its inception.
Two swimming pools give everyone a chance to cool off in the summer. Boating and fishing are available on the City’s reservoirs. The PECO II softball complex hosts City leagues as well as events that attract participants and spectators from around the country.
Rental of park shelters are available. The fees are as follows:
East Cabin Shelter House $20.00 plus ($25.00 deposit required)
Open Park Pavilions at all parks except Peco $15.00
