About Us
The Gilmanton Community Church is just that - a community church comprised of people from different Christian traditions. We are located in Gilmanton, New Hampshire. We are one congregation with two church buildings - one on Route 140 in Gilmanton Iron Works and one on Route 107 in Gilmanton Corner. We are dually affiliated with the National Association of Congregational Christian Churches and The American Baptist Churches.
We worship from January through May, October and November in the Iron Works Sanctuary and June through September and December in the Gilmanton Corner Sanctuary. Our church facilities are widely used by nonprofit groups including the Boy Scouts, Girl Scouts and 4-H. Our facilties are available for rental. No alcohol or smoking is allowed on the premises.
We dedicate or baptize infants, depending on the faith tradition of the parents. We celebrate Believer's baptism as well as Confirmation. All are invited to join us at the Lord's Table (Communion) who confess Jesus as their Lord and Savior.
We offer four opportunities for adult bible study, an excellent Sunday School for children age 3 through youth in eighth grade. Our older youth assist in Sunday School, if they choose and also have the opportunity, once they have taken the Red Cross Class, of helping with childcare during worship.
Older Youth are also invited to sing in the choir, to participate in worship, and to take an active part, as they are interested, in church ministries. We provide full camperships for Christian camping for children and older youth, as needed. We also have a wonderful Scholarship Fund which is available to those in our congregation (of all ages) who are going on to higher education. We have a great youth fellowship for grades 6, 7 and 8.
