Golden Gate Opera's (GGO) mission is to enrich the community's experience by providing access to a myriad of fine arts found in live, professional opera. GGO inspires people of all ages, cultural and economic backgrounds to appreciate the arts, life and learning through high quality performances and educational programs.

Vision Statement:

We at Golden Gate Opera (GGO) believe that the ultimate human experience is heart-to-heart, inspirational and uplifting, exciting and stimulating. It can magically transform our human experience to another world - a world of pure potentiality, of beauty, of child-like beliefs in angels, tooth fairies and the prevailing goodness of the world, as we would like it to be. The vehicle we choose to let ourselves best express our humanness is opera. Golden Gate Opera is only a name we choose to let ourselves be known to the world.

We choose to perform opera for children of any age. We are blessed to receive the gifts of joy from these children who so appreciate our outreach. They transform us, enrich us, and together we change each other's lives for a brief moment in time. We know we are succeeding because we have received letters from children with beautiful sentiments like this one: "Thank you for giving me one good day."
