Grand Isle School is unique... Grand Isle High School presented its first twelve-year diploma in May of 1942, to a class of one. Although the school's programs and campus have changed drastically over the last 63 years, the class sizes have remained delightfully small. Our student-teacher ratio is less than 15 students per teacher. This statistic is only one of many things that makes us "one of a kind". We are a K-12 school. Over 33% of our faculty have a M.Ed. or better. Our faculty tenure is extremely stable as represented by an average of 18 years of teaching at Grand Isle School. We are a "rural" school in a large metropolitan school system. And last, but certainly not least, our "front yard" is the beautiful Gulf of Mexico.
