About Us:
The GBCOC continues to place the economic development needs of established and new businesses first by advocating for the business community and developing cutting edge programs that support economic growth in our region. The Greater Beaumont Chamber of commerce has two affiliate organizations, the Beaumont Chamber Foundation (BCF) and the Southeast Texas Economic Development Foundation (SETEDF). All three organizations focus on different areas of growth within our community.
The Beaumont Chamber Foundation places an emphasis on Leadership Development and houses several programs that the chamber is known for including Leadership Beaumont, the Mentor/Mentee Program, two youth leadership programs and the Public Service Candidate Workshop. Each of the programs within the foundation addresses a need pertaining to personal and professional development.
The Southeast Texas Economic Development Foundation is a non-profit development company that was formed in 1984 to assist small businesses in the region with long term fixed rate financing for real estate acquisitions, construction and equipment purchases. SETEDF is a Certified Development Company and acts as a servicing agent for the U.S. Small Business Administration 504 Loan Program. SETEDF processes, closes and services a loan portfolio of projects located throughout the state of Texas.
