About Us:
Pheasants Forever (PF) is a non-profit conservation organization dedicated to the protection of pheasant and other wildlife populations and habitat. It was founded in 1982 and works to accomplish its mission through habitat improvements, public awareness, education and land management policies/programs. There are 650 chapters across the US and Canada and in 2011 the Greater Columbus chapter (serving Franklin and Delaware counties) was founded. There are nearly 800 PF members in central Ohio who will be counted on for their continued support. Most of us are hunters and passionate outdoorsmen and women. The goal of the annual banquet and other fundraising events is to raise enough money to continue working on habitat projects in the area. We have improved and maintained more than 80 acres at the Delaware Wildlife Area since 2014. We hold an annual mentored youth pheasant hunt each year at no cost to the participants.
Not a week goes by during hunting season when someone doesn’t mention the good old days of the early 1970’s when pheasants roamed Ohio fields in great numbers. We hope to create enough habitat in the area so that our children and grandchildren can see these beautiful birds in all their glory! Join the Greater Columbus chapter today! We can always use a volunteer for a project or event as well.
