Green Street School,which opened in 1972, is the largest of four elementary schools in the Town of Phillipsburg. The school provides education for children in kindergarten and grades 3-4-5. Special education classes of relative grade levels are also housed within the school. The present enrollment is approximately 600 students. In addition to academics, Vocal and Instrumental Music, Physical Education, Art, Library, Counseling, Basic Skills, After-School Tutoring, Speech, Drama Club, Bell Choir, Intramurals, Gifted & Talented and Closed-Circuit Television Studio experiences are offered.
