Mission Statement :
Our mission is to provide equitable opportunities that educate, challenge and inspire students of all ages, talents and ability levels while preparing each with the skills required to adapt and succeed in an ever-changing world
About Us :
Grimmer Elementary School strives to meet the academic, social, physical, and emotional needs of each child. We do this within a warm, safe, and child-centered environment. We believe that learning should be transferable to real-life situations, and should involve com- munication and interaction among students, parents, school, and the community. As such, the diverse Grimmer School community is comprised of families from many neighborhoods in Fremont. Families choose Grimmer School for its wonderful diversity and many specialized programs. One very unique program is the 2-Way Dual Immersion program. Students who fully participate in this program become bilingual and bi-literate in Spanish and English by the end of sixth grade. While half of the students are enrolled in 2-Way Dual Immersion, the others are being instructed in quality English-only classrooms. Other special attractions include the Arts Block Program, Family Literacy Program, Student Intervention programs, on-site day care and Healthy Start.
Grimer School staff members are dedicated, nurturing and supportive of students and their families who work hard to improve student achievement and focus on continual school im-provement. As a Title I school, extra funding is used for additional resources and support staff to ensure success for each student. A community of lifelong learners, Grimmer not only teaches students what to learn; we teach them how to learn.
