The Guardian ad Litem program is a volunteer based organization dedicated to advocating for children who have been removed from their homes due to allegations of abuse and neglect. These children in the "foster care system" often become lost in the system. Our volunteers get to know the child or a sibling group in their case by visiting them at least once a month, speaking to those that are important to the child's life and using that information to make sure that the child's best interest is represented both in front of the judge and in their every day life. Training is provided and a background check is required. This volunteer opportunity will require roughly 8-12 flexible hours a month. Please, won't you be the voice of a child....
