Membership in the Gurnee Lions Club provides opportunities to help others, develop leadership skills, and make new friends! Find out more about becoming a member today! A man or woman aged 18 or over may request consideration for membership by submitting a completed membership application. At the next two regularly-scheduled meetings, the club president will read the candidate's application aloud to the club members. At the end of the second reading, the club members vote on inviting the candidate to join the club. The new member is initiated at a subsequent club meeting.

An experienced member will serve as the new member's sponsor. The sponsor answers any questions the new member may have about Lionism and helps the new member get involved in club activities.Although most members of the Gurnee Lions Club live or work in Gurnee and surrounding areas, there are no residency requirements for membership. The club is non-political and non-sectarian. Membership is open to people of all races.Members are expected to attend meetings regularly and participate in club activities. Club dues are $60 annually.
