The
H. W. Mountz students receive instruction in a full range of academic subjects, the arts and developmental activities. Offerings include integrated language arts/reading, mathematics, science, social studies, physical education, foreign language/culture, health, music, art and computers. Our Pre-K-5 academic program is self-contained; our 6-8 program is organized within a middle school framework - students visit different classrooms for their major academic subjects. Special program offerings include academic interventions for both struggling and accelerating students, after-school enrichment activities, high engagement in technology through Smart Boards, laptops, and our TV studio, and our unique MUSST (Mountz Uniting Students and Seniors Together) program.
Our small size allows us to get to know all our students on an individualized basis while offering a variety of programs and services to complement our academic curriculum, which is closely aligned with the New Jersey Core Curriculum Standards and the National Common Core Standards.
