The mission of the Hampshire County Chamber of Commerce is to strengthen existing business in, and attract new business to, Hampshire County, and to provide leadership to maximize the county's economic potential.

Activities:
Provides networking opportunities among local businesses throughout the year.
Provides training in business skills.
Provides forums for presentations by various entities that seek interaction with the business community (Eastern WV Community College, Small Business Development Center, Region VIII, etc.).
Conducts surveys to determine membership needs.
Organizes Hampshire County Heritage Days to bring customers into member businesses.
Publishes a newsletter and website to share information with member businesses.
Issues News You Can Use e-mail alerts.
Publishes the county map to help residents and visitors find their way around and find Hampshire County businesses that can serve them.
Assists visitors and those interested in relocating to the county by phone and in person at Chamber Headquarters/the Visitor Center.
Publishes the Here in Hampshire Community Guide/Membership Directory to showcase members to prospective customers and orient newcomers to doing business locally.
Refers inquirers to local businesses (Chamber members first!)
Displays members' brochures and business cards at Chamber Headquarters

Organized Home Shows to showcase member businesses to the general public to encourage them to patronize these businesses Facilitated cooperative advertising in the state travel guide and other vehicles targeting prospective visitors before Hampshire County Convention & Visitors Bureau was spun off.
Produced a county Visitor Guide to equip local businesses to assist visitors in finding what they want in Hampshire County.
