In 1981 Harbor Country® was the trademark name chosen by the then New Buffalo MI chamber of commerce to represent the eight lake shore communities of Michiana, Grand Beach, New Buffalo, Union Pier, Lakeside, Harbert, Sawyer and Three Oaks.The New Buffalo Chamber of Commerce was renamed the Harbor Country Chamber of Commerce to serve this remarkably unique lakeshore region and its eight quaint towns.
