Various students at Harris were involved in a service project to help beautify the area around the school, picking up garbage and weeding around the grounds.

Other classes wrote welcome home cards to returning soldiers from Iraq.

In May, the students at Harris assembled to celebrate students with special needs. (compassion and tolerance) The school tried to go view the Special Olympics but the weather prevailed, so at a later date the school celebrated the Olympians by having a special pep rally at the Junior High
