The Harrisburg Fire Department utilizes a combination of full-time and part-time employees along with a strong volunteer force. The Department runs out of two stations and provides fire suppression, advanced life support emergency medical response, rescue services, and public & life safety education to residence of Cabarrus County and the City of Harrisburg. The fire protection district is roughly 32 square miles which includes residential, manufacturing, and commercial retail structures.

We provide mutual aid assistance to Jackson Park and Flowes Store Volunteer Fire Departments in Cabarrus County. We also provide assistance to Newell and Robinson Volunteer Fire Departments in Mecklenburg County.
