Hendricks County Arts Council Purpose and Goals:

Hendricks County Arts Council is a community organization that strives to provide financial support, services, and other programs for a variety of arts organizations and/or individual artists and the community as a whole. Our aim is to make a difference in the quality of life in our community and raise awareness of the Arts that are taking place in Hendricks County.

We are striving to:

• Establish an interest in the arts county-wide
• Establish programs to encourage children in the arts
• Establish a liason between the Arts Council, towns, and organizations
• Coordinate area events and activities between towns and artists
• Support art shows and galleries
• Encourage local businesses to freely display art of local artists
• Sponsor a county-wide arts fair or festival
• Support artists trying to open studios and galleries
• Secure scholarships for artists
• Develop programs within schools, community and senior centers.
