Hickory Grove's Core Values and Beliefs

We are a body of believers committed to worshipping and serving Jesus Christ. As a Southern Baptist Church, we join with likeminded Christians in spreading the gospel around the world. Our slogan, "A Place of Grace" is more than just a catchy phrase. We hope that it gives you insight into just who we are. The following values and beliefs are what Hickory Grove Baptist Church hopes to embrace as our 10 Core Values and 10 Core Beleifs.

Hickory Grove Baptist’s 10 Core Values

1.    We are to grow spiritually.
2.    We are to share our faith with a lost world.
3.    We are to communicate with God through our prayer.
4.    We are to use our spiritual gifts as we minister to those who are in need.
5.    We are to be faithful in meeting together as believers.
6.    We are to give our resources obediently.
7.    We are to encourage one another.
8.    We are to forgive one another.
9.    We are to follow God’s leadership.
10.    We are to show the love of Christ.


Hickory Grove Baptist’s 10 Core Beliefs

We Believe…

1.    There is only one true God.
2.    God desires to have a personal relationship with us and that this only occurs through His Son Jesus Christ.
3.    We are to obey God and live by His commands.
4.    Our salvation is to be followed by baptism.
5.    The Bible is God’s Word given to us for daily instruction and is without error.
6.    God sent to us a comforter called the Holy Spirit to guide us in our daily walk with Him.
7.    In worshiping God freely, but with decency and order.
8.    Our bodies are the temple of God and should be treated as such.
9.    We should not engage in activities which cause others to stumble.
10.    In becoming disciples of Jesus Christ.
