The School District of the City of Highland Park is a 2.98-square-mile district of classic urban demographics and small-town size, in the historic enclave city just a few minutes from colleges, universities, and cultural attractions in the surrounding city of Detroit. The Highland Park school system serves 2,704 K-12 students, and another 1,400 students at Highland Park Career Academy (for 16-19 year olds), and 516 students in Adult Education.
