Hill Country Artists (HCA), organized in 1979, states its mission as the promotion & enjoyment of the fine arts. Membership is open to all persons age 18 and older.

Membership has grown over the years and includes residents of the northern tier of Pennsylvania and the southern tier of New York.

The public is invited to attend HCA’s monthly meetings, with educational programs and demonstrations, the first Thursday, April through December, at 7:00 p.m. in the Claverack Building, Route 206 East, Montrose PA.

HCA holds annual en plein air paint-outs and organizes educational field trips.

Through community support and the generosity of area businesses, HCA members display their art in venues throughout the county with rotating, permanent exhibits.
