About Us

Hillcrest Middle School first opened in September of 1990 and serves a relatively large portion of the city’s northwest Phoenix area. Our staff, parents and community believe in the development of the middle level learning experiences through teams which cultivate the qualities respect, trustworthiness, fairness, citizenship, responsibility and caring.

Hillcrest Falcon Cooperative efforts between the school and the community are impressive. This has resulted in Hillcrest being named an Arizona "Excellence" School. As one of the top secondary schools, collaboration provides a feeling of real partnership between the school and the community it serves. Our Site Council Team is comprised of administrators, staff and community members and is the central focus for major decisions regarding many facets of curriculum and budget.

The school has strong community support, as evidenced by hundreds of hours of parent volunteer time. The staff members are highly qualified. They challenge students academically, and exhibit caring attitudes and enthusiasm.
