Hillside Springs Farm And CSA Garden
During harvest (early June to late November), members come to the farm weekly to pick up their share of the garden?s bounty. Full shares feed 2-4 adults, or a small family, and are picked up once a week. Half shares, picked up every other week, are suitable for one or two people. Members can customize their shares through: ? ?Free-choice? items: For produce we have in abundance, members are invited to take as much as they need. ? ?You-pick? opportunities: Some crops are very labor-intensive to harvest, so ?you-pick? allows members to harvest whatever they can use. ? Share box: Members are invited to put in the box any part of their share they can?t use or don?t want, and any member can take whatever is there.Members are always welcome to visit or help in the garden. Seasonal gatherings, recipes, newsletters, and ?Ice Cream (and Weeding!) Parties? - which end in hand-cranked ice cream - are all part of our CSA, and a good way to get to know one another and the farm.
Hillside Springs Farm is a small Community Supported Agriculture farm (CSA) on 53 acres in Westmoreland, New Hampshire, with gardens, pastures, orchard, forest, pond, stream, and small wetland areas. Our gardens are used for vegetables, herbs, berries, and flowers, all of which are available to CSA members in season. We grow produce only for the CSA garden, so that we can focus on providing premium quality vegetables for our members.
We are entering our 6th season of providing healthy, local produce to the community. No chemical fertilizers, pesticides, or herbicides are ever used on our fields or our food. We own the farm, and have a long term commitment to both the land and to CSA Members.
