Horizons for Homeless Children is the only organization in Massachusetts focused exclusively on the needs of young homeless children and their families. We are recognized as a national leader in the education of homeless children. Today, we provide high-quality early education, opportunities for play, and family engagement services to more than 3,000 homeless children each week in Massachusetts.

In Southeastern MA we partner with local homeless shelters and build Playspaces complete with furniture and materials developmentally designed for children 0-6.  We then stock these Playspaces with caring and dedicated adult volunteers who spend 2 hours a week providing quality play and early education opportunities for the children living at the shelters.  Currently we have shelters in 26 locations in Bristol, Plymouth and Barntable counties.
