Houston County Volunteer Medical Clinic is a non-profit facility providing free medical care to working, uninsured citizens of Houston County. The doctors, nurses, technicians and administrative personnel all volunteer their time to provide primary care services two evenings per week. The clinic depends on donated funds to provide free, quality, compassionate medical care to those who have no other resources for health care.
The Houston County Volunteer Medical Clinic is a non-profit 501(c)3 corporation with the mission to provide the medically under-served in Houston County with excellent health care in an atmosphere of caring and compassion. The clinic opened in January, 2005 with funding from Houston Healthcare Houston Medical Center Auxiliary, Healthcare of Central Georgia, as well as many individuals and businesses. The Volunteer Clinic is also a United Way of Central Georgia Inc. Agency.
Our vision is that we use the gifts that God has given us to open our minds, hands and hearts to our brothers and sisters in need.
Although the Houston County Volunteer Medical Clinic is not affiliated with any specific faith or religion, the motivation of many of our volunteers is faith-based.
