Howell Community Church may not be like some of your memories of what church was like, or what we expect it to be like today! Often, because of past experience, we expect a church to be a closed society, full of meaningless rituals, looking for people and money to keep it going, ready with a list of customized do's and don'ts, and offering church services that are boring and irrelevant to daily life in the real world. Well, times are changing, families are changing, needs are changing, and that is why some churches are changing.

Howell Community Church loses the trappings of "church". When we think of church, we don't think of a building or a set of rules. We think of a group of regular people, mostly young families, who are helping one another make extraordinary discoveries about God and His blueprint for their lives. We think of a safe place where partners walk together, as they grow in every aspect of life on a daily basis. Howell Community is not even what you might expect of a typical church. There are only two or three families who ever attended a community church, most all the rest are of Catholic background or of little religious background at all. Most all of us came not knowing what to expect, but finding what we had secretly been hoping for, and maybe a little more!

Howell Community is here for you. We're a family concerned with BOTH your hereafter AND your here-and-now. We know there is a very real relationship to be had with Jesus Christ. It's not a weird experience, a promise of an easy life, or empty traditions. It's the opportunity to have such a greater knowledge of Him, in whom you've probably always believed. We won't come bang on your door, or flood your mail box with literature. We do take the privilege to invite you to join us sometime in our discovery of Him!
