The Humane Society for Boone County is a non-profit volunteer group working to care for homeless pets and place them in permanent adoptive homes.  HS for BC is funded by donations and there is no paid staff.  No shelter building exists at this time, but a network of  HS for BC volunteers provides animal care in their private homes.
