Open: Year-Round
You will find our winery to be a small rustic place dripping with ambience. It is the place where Lou and Judy Wagoner and their family work and play. Winemaking began in the carriage house (a fancy-shmancy name for the garage) several years ago. Winemaking has now been moved to the wine cellar, a 2500 square foot building built into the hillside next to the Log Home. This is the place where high quality grape juice becomes the wine of Icicle Ridge Winery.
You won't find a lot of automation here. We do most of the winemaking by hand with the help of friends and staff. The cellar is filled with oak barrels and stainless steel tanks. You will often find our staff happily slapping labels and wax dip on the bottles that will be sold in the coming weeks. During the summer, you will often find Lou, Carlos, and the orchard workers pressing cherry juice or working on the property. Any day in October and November, you will find us crushing, pressing, racking, and punching down the new wines.
We are all about small production. Our ice wines are often 50 cases or less. Our White Merlot... 150 cases. Our treasured chocolate cherry wine... 200 cases. Our estate-grown Lemberger... 150 cases.
