About Us:
Welcome to the Independent Mountain Men Living History Society, Inc. (the "Organization") The Organization is a living history organization dedicated to the preservation and demonstration of American frontiersmanship history - in particular the skill, knowledge, arts, and crafts of the American Frontier period from approximately 1750 to 1840. Our American nation and core heritage was forged in the fires of this era. Our organization works to educate the community and demonstrate historical skills and reenact historical events including trekking, reenactments marksmanship demonstrations, survival skill demonstrations, society clothing, and other similar historic activities.
The organization owns nearly 400 acres in Emlenton, Pennsylvania where regular demonstrations, reenactments, and other historical functions and activities are held. This property is available for use by members, other charities, and public organizations (with the prior permission of the Organization).
Membership of the society is also open to all members of the local community who share an interest in American frontiersmanship and related skills.
