About Us

Combine the energy of competitive sporting events, the talents of performing arts presentations, and the leadership of strong academic experiences to capture a glimpse of the student body of Ironwood High School. A member of the Peoria Unified School District, Ironwood first opened its doors in 1986.

 Approximately 2000 students share the 40 acre campus situated in a densely populated area in Glendale, Arizona, a suburb of Phoenix. Committed to improving academic achievement for all students, the administrators, teachers, and support staff set high goals and standards for their students and themselves.

With strong community support, Ironwood promotes a team effort for helping students develop the skills and concepts needed to become successful life-long learners. Our school community is enhanced by the Renaissance program which is a partnership between the school and businesses to reward students who strive for high academic achievement and citizenship.
