Jarrettsville Nurseries is a family owned and operated Christmas tree farm started by Charles St. Clair and James Thomas in 1961. Charles St. Clair passed away in the spring of 2011 after a short illness. His vision and leadership will be sorely missed. James Thomas, at the age of 95, is no longer working on the farm, but is still sharing his wisdom from the sidelines. His son, Gary Thomas, and Charles' son, Boyd Saulsbury, can be found working the farm year round while mentoring their next generation in the love and art of growing and selling quality Christmas trees. Growing and selling quality Christmas trees is all we do and you will find our pride in that as you let our family serve yours.

Jarrettsville Nurseries belongs to the Maryland Christmas Tree Association, the Pennsylvania Christmas Tree Growers Associations and the National Christmas Tree Association. Jarrettsville Nurseries was one of the first members of the Maryland Christmas Tree Association (MCTA) and one of our owners, Gary Thomas, served on the Board of Directors for several years. Gary also served as past president of the Pennsylvania Christmas Tree Growers association and is currently the chairman of the winter and summer meeting. Jarrettsville Nurseries believes in supporting these associations to produce a better product for our customers.
