Alabama Kiwanis Foundation/Jean Dean RIF, is a 501 (c) (3) charity serving the statie of Alabama's at -risk preschool children. Jean Dean RIF is responsible for the purchase, distribution and reading of over 75000 books to 25000 children across the state of Alabama. Primarily working with head start centers and local civic clubs, children recieve brand new age appropriate books in effort promoting early childhood literacy. The reading time by volunteers with each of these children in small groups can have long lasting developmental benefits also.

Annual Fund Raisers include Run to Read 5k Race and Family Fun Walk, Sept in Opelika's Floral Park
