Joshua’s Trust is a land conservation trust in northeastern Connecticut. Officially known as Joshua’s Tract Conservation and Historic Trust, our nonprofit and largely volunteer conservation organization protects more than 4,750 acres of land. Some properties are owned by the Trust and others are protected by easements, but both methods assure that those lands will remain open space and protected from development forever.
The Joshua’s Trust service area extends throughout fourteen towns in Windham and Tolland counties where, on many of our properties, we maintain walking trails for the public to appreciate and enjoy. In addition to land, we also maintain two sites of historic significance: the Gurleyville Grist Mill and the Atwood Farm, our headquarters, in Mansfield.
