Mission Statement

The Kaplen JCC on the Palisades serves the entire Jewish community as an organization for Jewish activity and identification,which respects diversity among Jews and welcomes people at every age and stage of life.

The Mission Of The Kaplen Jcc On The Palisades Is To:

Present opportunities to deepen Jewish identity and nurture commitment to Jewish values and lifelong learning for the purpose of ensuring Jewish continuity and the enrichment of Jewish life.

Create Jewish experiences through which Jewish knowledge and values are transmitted and which help build lasting Jewish memories.

Offer and promote activities and programs which foster Tikun Olam, (improving the world) help build community and achieve the ideals of American democracy.

Strengthen connections to Jewish institutions, synagogues, K'lal Yisrael (the Jewish people around the world) and the State of Israel.

Enhance the mind, body and spirit; help strengthen family bonds; and reach out to individuals without regard to race, religion, ability or disability.
