Keowee Chamber Music, a professional ensemble and a non-profit organization, enlivens communities in Western North Carolina and the Upstate of South Carolina with eclectic chamber music offerings in historic and unusual settings. Keowee Chamber Music Festival presents its 8th summer season, June 3-15, 2008.

Keowee musicians bring superb musicianship to an unpretentious, yet captivating atmosphere. In every performance, the players endeavor to illuminate the music for audience members by introducing works and sharing pertinent information about the composers and musical styles. By entertaining and empowering the audience, Keowee has attracted a loyal fan base as well as encouraged a new generation of chamber music lovers.

Keowee furthers its dual purpose of education and community enrichment through children's concerts and public open rehearsals. Keowee for Kids! introduces chamber music and instruments through story and sound, while the open rehearsals give the public a behind-the-scenes look at concert preparation.
