Mission:

Our mission at Kingston High School is to prepare our students for life after high school. We believe that it is our responsibility to ensure that all students have a broad range of choices and that all students are prepared for success, no matter which path they choose after graduation. Whether planning to enter college or workforce training programs, high school students need to be educated to a comparable level of readiness, especially in reading and mathematics. Almost all of our students will need some formal education beyond a high school diploma, and graduates need this level of readiness if they are to succeed in college - level courses without remediation and to enter workforce training programs ready to learn job-specific skills.

The right to a quality public education has become a part of the American Dream.. part of what it means to have a fair chance to pursue our hopes. As such, it is no longer a stretch to argue that an education that leaves each student with genuine choices is a civil right. And doing so creates both an obligation and an opportunity for us all. - Rick Lear, Director, Small Schools Project.

Kingston High School students will graduate college ready. They will be prepared to act as informed citizens in a global society and empowered to care for their community.
