History:

The Kiwanis Club of LaGrange, GA, which was sponsored by the Kiwanis Club of Newnan, was chartered on December 18, 1940.  Charter night was held on February 17, 1941 at the Highland Country Club.  Outstanding Kiwanians from throughout the state came to LaGrange for the charter presentation ceremony.  Past Georgia District Governor, George F. Simpson of Valdosta presented the charter to R. L. Hinson, president of the new Kiwanis club.
