On December 11, 1923 a group of local businessmen and community leaders banded together to form the Kiwanis Club of Lake City. Together with 41 others, J.B. Hodges set out on a journey that has brought us to where we are today. The initial year was tenuous, but with the help of the members, the club grew to the size it is today through the hard work and dedication of all those who have been a part of Kiwanis Club of Lake City.

The original By-Laws, as adopted by the club and approved by Kiwanis International give a deeper understanding into the organization of the club. Those bylaws are provided here as a historical record of the origins and differ somewhat from the bylaws we currently operate under.
