The charter for the Pasadena Kiwanis Club was presented on October 2nd, 1947 to S.R. (Buddy) Jones, Jr. by the Kiwanis International Texas-Oklahoma District Governor, William D. Whalen of MacAllen, Texas. Of the 26 charter members, one, Calvin Powitzky, remains very active in our club today.
