The Lakeport Community Association was established in 1997.  The main goal is to preserve and rehabilitate the last remaining railroad freight building built in 1899 as a museum for railroad and Lakeport memorabilia and as a community center.  The LCA also has many other projects for the betterment of the community.

LCA meets the 1st and 3rd Tuesday of each month in the Lakeport Freighthouse, Railroad Avenue, off Elm Street in Lakeport unless otherwise notified.
