About Us:
Doing Life Together is what LWC is all about. You see, we believe that being a church is about more than just doing Sundays and Wednesdays, worship and Bible study together. We believe that being a church is about doing all of life together, walking with each other through the ups and downs, navigating life with God and others, and seeking to better understand what it means to love Him and love people in the midst of it.
We know that God has not created us for an isolated life, but rather a life that is intimately involved in the lives of others. At LWC, we believe our fellowship with each other should be more than just cookies and punch. We seek to really become family with the people we do life with. More than just doing church together in the church building when the church calendar calls for it, we interact with each other as the family that we really are as children of God.
We don’t just do life with people in our church though. We believe God intends us to do life with our friends and family outside of the church as well…our neighbors, our coworkers, our classmates.
God created us to do life with Him and with people. So that’s what we’re doing. As we do, we trust that God will be at work both in growing us as followers of His Son Jesus and in using us to introduce others to Him.
Doing Life Together…intimate, meaningful, and authentic interaction and fellowship with God and with others. What a great way to be the church.
Simply put, a Wesleyan is a Christian who follows the doctrinal beliefs of John Wesley, an 18th-century theologian and founder of the Methodist denomination. Wesleyans are an offshoot denomination from the Methodists and LWC is a part of this global Wesleyan Church. Although Wesleyan is our heritage and denominational identity, you do not have to be a member of the Wesleyan Church to attend or be a part of our church.
