About
LaupÄhoehoe Community Public Charter School (LCPCS) continues the 130 year tradition of Seasider education on the HÄmÄkua Coast, succeeding Laupahoehoe High & Elementary School when we officially opened our doors as LCPCS to students for the 2012-2013 school year.
“Building a GREAT Community School that LIVES ALOHA”
In our fifth year as a conversion charter school, we continue to build upon the vision set-forth by a group of dedicated family and community members who worked long and hard to be granted a charter agreement with the State of Hawai‘i Board of Education that would give us the authority to locally govern our school. Our aim is to provide a high-quality public education for students in Kindergarten through 12th grade (with special services for Pre-K), characterized by experiential learning in a values-based environment, intimately connected to the community from which we were born.
